N+ (Norwood)
Living with three teenagers in a stone villa on a generous sized block in Norwood, our clients wanted to make their house into something they could enjoy until well after their children leave home. We preserved and refurbished the existing dwelling and bought the backyard to life with a new kitchen, dining, living, laundry, study and some landscaping. We converted half the shed into a teenager’s retreat. Our focus was to transform this place into somewhere full of light and air. It is designed primarily as a stage set for social and family life but also for entertaining large numbers. Built of traditional materials, it was made to respond to modern taste with hardwearing sophisticated details.
Testimonial: Architecture In the Wild turned our old house into a family home – and we love it. They were great to work with – responsive, creative and conscious of both our tastes and budget. A great experience.
